Jan began her career as a professional dancer at the age of ten while studying ballet at George Balanchine’s famous School of American Ballet. She appeared in several shows on and off Broadway, and danced with the NYC Ballet, and then branched out into modern jazz. From professional ballet and jazz dancer as well as child actress on Broadway to registered nurse, homemaker and mother, Jan's pursuit of health and fitness for herself.
Jan Kain has been an industry icon and inspiration for dance and fitness instruction for over 30 years as a teacher and master trainer for most fitness formats for all ages including ZUMBA, Yoga, Pilates, kickboxing, strength training and more. She also has a variety of ballroom dance skills and her new love, country western and line dancing. Jan is working to bring country western and line dancing back to the South Bay and has rolled out her signature cardio program, "Line Dance Blast"! With an added PhD in Public Health, Jan is more than qualified to own and direct "People's Place and Palace".
